How did you get started in real estate? After purchasing my first home, I was intrigued by the real estate process. Previously, I had been in the financial industry and sales. Real estate was a perfect fit for me.

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: I sold 120 units and reached $150,000,000 in sales.

Area of specialty:Northern Virginia

Highest-priced home sold: $1,325,000

Most memorable house: I represented the sale of two waterfront properties on Occoquan Bay with a sandy beach and deep water access to the Potomac River in Woodbridge. Although there hadn’t been any sales in the area more than $750,000 in recent years, the seller knew his large lots (more than an acre) would attract the right buyers. The properties were sold for a total of $2,150,000. All of the potential customers had interesting ideas about what they would do if they owned the properties.

Describe your worst experience buying or selling a house: As the market started changing in 2007, I was representing three different builders in four subdivisions. Due to declining market values, the builders weren’t able to maintain construction. One of the builders sold 21 lots prior to breaking ground. Another builder stopped building homes and has not re-opened. The remaining two subdivisions were developed by a custom builder with large equestrian and wooded lots, but they went to foreclosure.

Describe your personal dream house: I am drawn to homes close to the water. My dream home would be in either of my favorite beach areas: Rehoboth Beach, Del. or the Outer Banks, N.C. While I am dreaming, I would like to have a condo in the District too, because I love the energy there and the delicious restaurants.
