(AP) - Miranda Lambert leads the first round of CMA Awards nominations with five, followed closely by Lady Antebellum with four and Zac Brown with three.
Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins as well as newcomer Easton Corbin have two each.
Lambert is competing against herself twice. “The House That Built Me” and “White Liar” are both up for single of the year and music video of the year. She’s also nominated for writing song of the year contender “White Liar.”
Other song of the year nominees include “The House That Built Me”; “Need You Now, co-written by Lady Antebellum; “Toes” co-written by Zac Brown; and Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That.”
Both Lady A and Zac Brown Band are up for vocal group of the year against Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.
In addition to their nod for vocal group, Zac Brown Band is nominated again in the new artist of the year category. The band is up against Corbin, Luke Bryan, Jerrod Niemann and Chris Young.
Rounding out the single of the year category is Lady A’s “Need You Now,” Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That” and Shelton and Adkins‘ “Hillbilly Bone” duet.
The final nominees will be announced Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
The CMAs are set for Nov. 10 in Nashville and will air live on ABC.
