MIAMI (AP) - Heat point guard Carlos Arroyo will not be with the team Wednesday night following the death of his grandfather in Puerto Rico.

Mario Chalmers will start at point for Miami when it faces the Cleveland Cavaliers. It’ll be Chalmers’ first start of the season.

Arroyo is tentatively expected to return to the team Friday when it visits the New York Knicks. He’s averaging 6.9 points and 2.2 assists, and leads Miami with a 51 percent accuracy rate from 3-point range.
