Shaq out again for Celtics’ game in New York

NEW YORK (AP) - Boston center Shaquille O'Neal missed his third straight game Wednesday night, sitting out against the New York Knicks because of a sore right calf.

With Jermaine O'Neal and Kendrick Perkins still out, Celtics coach Doc Rivers joked that his team was missing 21 feet of centers. Boston again started rookie Semih Erden from Turkey in the middle.

Jermaine O'Neal worked out before the game, and Rivers said the brace over his sore left knee has been changed and he is closer to returning.
