QB Kitna leaves Arizona game with hip injury

GLENDALE, ARIZ. (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys have lost another quarterback Saturday night with Jon Kitna leaving with a hip injury late in the first half against Arizona.

Kitna, the starter since Tony Romo broke his collarbone nine games ago, had run 7 yards to the 2-yard line, then thrown a fourth-down touchdown pass to Jason Witten just before he went to the locker room for treatment.

The 38-year-old quarterback’s game got off to a shaky start when Arizona intercepted him twice in the first quarter and returned both for touchdowns. He was sacked three times before he left the game.

Dallas has gone 4-4 with Kitna as starter. Stephen McGee, a second-year pro from Texas A&M, has replaced Kitna and, in the third quarter, has thrown his first NFL pass.
