TORONTO (AP) - The Blue Jays have acquired right-hander Carlos Villanueva from the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named.

The 27-year-old was 2-0 with one save and a 4.61 ERA in 50 games last season. He struck out 67 and walked 22 in 52 2-3 innings, allowing 48 hit.

Villanueva had a 20-24 record with six saves and a 4.34 ERA in five seasons with the Brewers.
