



CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A Chesapeake sheriff’s sergeant accused of robbing the same bank branch three times has been fired.
Police say 32-year-old John Michael Keane II of Suffolk was arrested Tuesday afternoon, shortly after a BB&T branch was robbed by a man wearing dark glasses and a surgical mask.
Mr. Keane also is charged with robbing the same bank branch on July 10 and Dec. 23. Other charges include use of a firearm in a felony and wearing a mask in public.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. David Rosado said Mr. Keane had been with the department since 1998. Mr. Keane was fired Wednesday morning.
Mr. Keane is being held at the Chesapeake Correctional Center without bond.
