Reading the Jan. 4 column by Ed Feulner (Commentary), I was reminded at the end of how so many Democrats have been going around saying the current administration and the Democrat policy intiatives, are “Keynesian.” John M. Keynes never advocated huge government bureaucracy and spending on make-work programs, and he certainly did not envision raising taxes (or letting tax cuts expire, which amounts to the same thing) during a recession. These activities do more damage to a faltering economy, but it appears that Democrats, having never read or studied Keynes, are ignorant of the effects. The only other choice is that they are deliberately tanking our economy for a purpose that is not in line with our nation’s best interests.
