ANALYSIS/OPINION:

According to Tuesday’s article in The Washington Times (“Democrats look to skip formality on health bills,” Page 1), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, along with the White House, are determined to be the sole and final arbiters of the form and substance of national health care legislation. They are literally hijacking accepted legislative process and discarding the very notion of representative government. For this reason alone, the legislation should be rejected by majorities in both houses of Congress.

Shame on any member of the House or Senate who accepts this government hooliganism as a path to fulfilling their collective obligation to the American people.
