How did you get started in real estate? I had a career in retailing for about 10 years, selling cosmetics, jewelry and shoes. I loved working with different types of people and helping them. Eventually I felt that if I could sell something with a higher price tag, such as cars or homes, I could earn a larger fee and also help people through one of the most important decisions of their life. I chose to get my real estate license.

How long have you been with the current company? This is my 22nd year in real estate, I left my present company for eight years to work with a manager I deeply respected. I returned to Weichert, Realtors upon her retirement.

Licenses and designations: Realtor, salesperson

Associations: National Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors

Awards: Weichert, Realtors Chairman Club, National Sales Award, Top 1 percent of Realtors nationwide

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: I am currently keeping pace with my listing goal, 14 homes listed so far this year, including a very special listing achieved through a personal referral. My oldest daughter has graduated from high school and will attend University of Maryland’s Scholars Program.

Area of specialty: Bethesda, Rockville, Kensington and Potomac. I have long been farming neighborhoods in Rockville where I have lived for more than 30 years. I practice real estate in all of Montgomery County.

Highest-priced home sold: $939,000

Most memorable house: The most memorable house I sold was a custom-built home in Bethesda, an elegant executive property. I will always remember this because my clients bought their first home from me in 1989, I sold it for them and they bought their second home from me, I sold it when they relocated to California. By surprise, they came back and bought their fourth home from me.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: A recent bad experience was when I successfully sold a home for a young family in Rockville. I became their buyers agent and we looked at homes for six months, wrote four offers, many in competition with other buyers. When the buyer agency agreement expired they chose another agent.

Last book read: “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult

Last movie seen: “The Blind Side”

What kind of car do you drive? 2005 Toyota Avalon

Describe your personal dream house: I live in the home of my dreams, a split Colonial in the Woodley Gardens subdivision. I especially love the large main-level office and huge family room with fireplace. I wish it to be fully renovated one day. My neighbors are jewels. I also loved my first home two miles away. Although I could make a wish list, I enjoy a cozy home over a huge space.
