ST. LOUIS (AP) - Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick has been sent to the minors, a day after giving up three home runs in one inning.

Right-hander Andrew Carpenter was recalled from Lehigh Valley.

In the fifth inning of Monday night's game, Kendrick allowed home runs to Albert Pujols, Allen Craig and Skip Schumaker.
