Texas G Williams leaves Longhorns

    AUSTIN, TEXAS (AP) - Texas redshirt freshman guard Shawn Williams is quitting the team,

    Williams, who missed most of last season with ankle injury, says he will stay enrolled at Texas through the rest of the semester. He played in only seven games last season.

    Texas plays Navy on Monday night in the first round of the 2K Sports Classic.
