- Associated Press - Tuesday, October 26, 2010

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Los Angeles Lakers have unveiled their latest NBA championship banner on the west wall of Staples Center.

Nine players remaining from last season's triumph over the Boston Celtics, along with Phil Jackson and his coaching staff, received their rings Tuesday night before the season opener.

Once Jackson was presented with his 11th championship ring as an NBA head coach and fifth with Los Angeles by commissioner David Stern and Lakers executive VP of business operations Jeanie Buss, Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher followed their teammates one by one to center court to receive their fifth each _ matching Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's and Magic Johnson's totals.
