Smoke out Mayor Bloomberg

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s ban on outdoor smoking shows his total lack of proportionality and perspective. Out of all the ills in the world, he has selected smoking as his main bugaboo.

Mr. Bloomberg waxes enthusiastic and sanctimonious about his silly little smoking ban while he ignores the feelings of the families of the Ground Zero victims. He doesn’t know what is important. He is so out of touch that he makes major issues out of minor habits. I guess being a billionaire confuses your values.

Mr. Bloomberg is a self-inflated man who is cut off from his public. He reminds me of that other overly protected politician, President Obama, who keeps shoving the pill of health care down our throats while we are starving from a lack of jobs. It’s hard to stomach do-gooders who don’t have a clue as to what we really need. The best laid plans of mice and men go up in smoke.
