NEW YORK (AP) - Play at the U.S. Open has resumed after a 25-minute rain delay caused by one of the outer bands from Hurricane Earl.
As a light rain picked up Friday, players were briefly sent back to the locker room. Among those resuming matches after the short stoppage were 18-year-old Ryan Harrison, who split the first four sets with Sergi Stakhovsky. American John Isner split the first two sets against Marco Chiudinelli and fourth-seeded Andy Murray was in the first set against Jamaican Dustin Brown.
