Shannon replaces Katie Finneran, who last season won a Tony Award in the role. She joins Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth (CHEN’-oh-wuhth) in the musical comedy, which opened at the Broadway Theatre last spring.
Shannon spent six seasons as a cast member of “SNL.” She starred in the sitcom “Kath & Kim” and has been a guest star on “Glee.” Her film credits include “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “Evan Almighty” and “Analyze This.”
