NEW YORK (AP) - “Saturday Night Live” veteran Molly Shannon will make her Broadway debut when she steps into the revival of “Promises, Promises” next month.

The show’s producers said Wednesday Shannon will take over as Marge MacDougall for a limited 11-week run from Oct. 12 through Dec. 26.

Shannon replaces Katie Finneran, who last season won a Tony Award in the role. She joins Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth (CHEN’-oh-wuhth) in the musical comedy, which opened at the Broadway Theatre last spring.

Shannon spent six seasons as a cast member of “SNL.” She starred in the sitcom “Kath & Kim” and has been a guest star on “Glee.” Her film credits include “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “Evan Almighty” and “Analyze This.”
