HOUSTON (AP) - Bolton will play a preseason charity game at Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo on July 20, becoming the fifth Premier League team to announce a North American tour.
Former Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden is not likely to play on the tour. He is projected to be sidelined for six months following a left knee injury sustained in a tackle from Manchester United’s Jonny Evans on March 19.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton and Newcastle also have announced North American tours ahead of Premier League openers on Aug. 13. Bolton also had a U.S. tour last summer.
