Bounce TV will offer programming around the clock, targeting blacks ages 25 to 54 with movies, sports, documentaries, faith-based programs and original programming.
The network has acquired television rights to nearly 400 movies, including classics like The Wiz and Car Wash; several Spike Lee productions such as Jungle Fever, Mo’ Better Blues and Do the Right Thing; and Denzel Washington headliners like The Hurricane, Glory and Philadelphia.
Rainforest Films co-founders Rob Hardy and Will Packer are on Bounce’s leadership team, and ex-Sony Pictures Television executive Jeffrey Wolf is leading distribution efforts. The digital network is designed to be carried on local television stations.
