LONDON (AP) - The cult British TV comedy “The Inbetweeners” makes its big screen debut with a world premiere in London.
The film’s four leading men _ British actors Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison _ and director Ben Palmer will walk the red carpet in Leicester Square on Tuesday night.
The TV show followed four misfits through high school while the movie sees them graduate and embark on their first boys vacation. Fans can expect the same gross-out and cringe-worthy moments that made the TV show such a hit in Britain.
Following that success, “The Inbetweeners” was picked up by BBC America and plans are under way for a U.S. television remake.
“The Inbetweeners Movie” opens in the U.K. on Aug. 17.
