TORONTO (AP) - Rays left-hander David Price didn’t give his defense much to do in the first three innings of Sunday’s game at Toronto.

Price struck out the side in the first two innings and fanned another two batters in the third, recording seven straight outs by strikeout at one stretch.

Price allowed a pair of baserunners: Mike McCoy led off with a walk and Jose Molina hit a two-out single in the second. Neither runner advanced.

Mike McCoy was the first batter to make an out on a batted ball when he grounded to second in the third.

Price’s career high in strikeouts is 12. He’s reached it twice, most recently on June 28 against Cincinnati.
