Two teens are in jail on murder charges after a 74-year-old man succumbed to injuries from a stabbing that took place last month, Prince George’s County police said Wednesday.

Glenn Ralph Adkisson, of the 6200 block of 64th Avenue in Riverdale, died Tuesday from injuries he sustained when he was stabbed during a robbery on July 14 as he walked his dog, police said.

Two of the man’s neighbors, Marcus C. Ferguson, 16, and Kenneth B. Gails, 18, both of the 6300 block of 64th Avenue in Riverdale, were arrested Wednesday for the attack. Mr. Ferguson is charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a no-bond status, police said.

Mr. Gails has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, manslaughter and armed robbery and is being held on a $750,000 bond, according to online Prince George’s County District Court records.

Adkisson was stabbed in a parking lot near his home around 12:30 p.m. as he took his dog for a walk, police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the attack and lapsed into a coma before dying Tuesday.

Court records indicate Mr. Gails is due in court Aug. 31 for a preliminary hearing.
