A Southeast D.C. man has died from injuries sustained in a fight over the weekend at a Fort Washington party, said Prince George's County police who are now investigating the death as a homicide.
Elijah Muhammad Turner, 22, of the 4000 block of 13th Street in Southeast died Monday morning after he was taken to a local hospital suffering severe head trauma, police said Tuesday.
Police think Mr. Turner was injured early Saturday at a party in the Piscataway Estates neighborhood in Fort Washington. Officers were dispatched to the 13000 block of Pendelton Street for a fight at a large party, county police said. When officers arrived they found the crowd had dispersed but were informed that Mr. Turner was admitted to a local hospital with injuries from an assault.
Mr. Turner died Monday morning from injuries he sustained during the fight, said police who are still investigating the incident.
