SEATTLE (AP) - Right-hander Jamey Wright is staying with the Seattle Mariners, agreeing Monday to a minor league contract.
The 36-year-old was 0-1 with a 3.41 ERA in 28 games last season. He also appeared in 18 games with Cleveland early in the year.
Wright is 83-118 with a 5.00 ERA in 246 starts and 220 relief appearances for eight teams in 15 major league seasons. He would receive a $900,000, one-year contract if added to Seattle’s 40-man roster.
