CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Blackhawks say coach Joel Quenneville was released from the hospital after being treated for gastrointestinal bleeding brought on by a small ulcer.
In a statement released Saturday, team physician Dr. Michael Terry says Quenneville is “resting comfortably at home” and that a full recovery is expected.
It is not clear when the 52-year-old Quenneville, who coached the Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup championship last season, will return. The Blackhawks’ next game is Sunday against Pittsburgh.
Quenneville has already missed two games since being hospitalized Wednesday morning.
