NEW YORK (AP) - New York prosecutors say a former production accountant for “30 Rock” has been charged with embezzling more than $13,600 from NBC.
Thirty-five-year-old Matthew Rudolph was awaiting arraignment in criminal court in Queens on 22 counts of grand larceny, falsifying business records and possession of a forged instrument.
His attorney, Richard Roth, says his client “categorically denies” the allegations.
Rudolph worked on season four of the popular TV show starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. It is filmed at Silvercup Studios in Queens. He was fired last spring after the allegations surfaced.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says Rudolph forged checks worth $6,000 and expense reports for his NBC credit card that totaled $7,662.55 last year.
NBC Universal didn’t comment Thursday. The network turned over the information to the district attorney’s office.
