Grayson to run again for House

Former Rep. Alan Grayson, the fiery one-term liberal Florida Democrat who lost his re-election bid last year, says he will run for his old seat in 2012.

"I'm back," Mr. Grayson said while announcing his candidacy Monday night on MSNBC's "The Ed Show."

Mr. Grayson, who was elected in 2008 from the Orlando area, has been no stranger to controversy. When debating a Democratic health care bill on the House floor in 2009, he drew the ire of Republicans when he characterized their alternative as "Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly."

During his unsuccessful re-election campaign last year he was criticized for a television advertisement that compared his conservative Republican opponent, Daniel Webster, to the Taliban.

Mr. Webster defeated Mr. Grayson in November by almost 18 percentage points.
