LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Primetime Emmy nominations for best actor in a television drama series have been announced in Los Angeles by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The category's nominees announced Thursday morning include: Steve Buscemi, "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO); Kyle Chandler, "Friday Night Lights" (NBC/DirecTV); Michael C. Hall, "Dexter" (Showtime); Jon Hamm, "Mad Men" (AMC); Hugh Laurie, "House" (Fox); Timothy Olyphant, "Justified" (FX).

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Jane Lynch.
