THE RULING: The U.S. International Trade Commission says Eastman Kodak Co.’s technology doesn’t infringe on Apple’s patent rights. It also rules that one of the two patents in dispute is invalid.

REACTION: Kodak’s stock fell nonetheless on Tuesday following the late Monday ruling. Investors are concerned about Kodak’s ability to fund a long and painful turnaround.

PENDING: Kodak still has a pending patent case against iPhone behemoth Apple and Research In Motion Ltd., maker of BlackBerry smartphones.
