The woman accused of killing her co-worker at a Bethesda yoga clothing shop will go on trial Oct. 24.

A Montgomery County judge set the trial date for Brittany Norwood at a hearing Friday in Rockville. Miss Norwood, 29, of the District has been charged with first-degree murder in the March 11 death of Jayna Murray, a co-worker of hers at Lululemon Athletica, an upscale store in Bethesda Row.

Prosecutors say Miss Norwood killed Murray shortly after the two closed the store for the night and got into a dispute over suspected stolen merchandise that Murray found in Miss Norwood’s bag.

County police found Murray’s body inside the store the next morning and discovered Miss Norwood tied up in a bathroom. Miss Norwood initially told police two men had entered the shop and attacked both women, but was arrested and charged on March 18.
