The Lululemon Athletica store in Bethesda, in which an employee was fatally beaten by a coworker this spring, will reopen June 24, the company has announced.
"It is with warm and grateful hearts that we are announcing the re-opening of our newly renovated Bethesda store," the Lululemon said in a written statement.
Employee Jayna Murray, 30, was killed March 11 at the store. Montgomery County prosecutors say coworker Brittany Norwood beat Ms. Murray to death, then staged the crime scene for her alibi that intruders assaulted her and committed the killing. Ms. Norwood, 28, has been indicted on murder charges in connection with the case.
"The re-opening will embrace the theme of 'love' in honor of Jayna Murray," the company said. "More than ever, we remain committed to the people of Bethesda and look forward to continuing to share with this community the same love, passion and grace with which Jayna lived her life."
The store is on the downtown Bethesda Row shopping center, at 4856 Bethesda Ave.
