'Jackass' cast mates mourn at private service for Dunn

Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera attended a private memorial service for their “Jackass” co-star Ryan Dunn in West Chester, Pa., on Wednesday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

A larger funeral will be held later this week, CNN reports. Members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church are expected to picket.

Funeral director Joseph DellaVecchia said police will be on hand to prevent any issues.

“We can’t stop someone from coming to a public funeral, but this is private, and the police have everything under control,” he said.

Mr. Dunn and his passenger, “Jackass” production assistant Zachary Hartwell, were killed early Monday morning. According to West Goshen police, Mr. Dunn was driving at least 130 miles an hour and his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit when he lost control of his Porsche, smashed into a tree and the car burst into flames.

Mr. Margera broke down while visiting the crash site earlier this week.

“I’ve never lost anybody I care about; he’s my best friend,” Mr. Margera told Philadelphia’s Fox affiliate through tears.
