Marquez, Ochoa return to Mexico roster

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Defender Rafael Marquez and goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa have been selected by Mexico coach Jose Manuel De la Torre for exhibition games in the United States against Paraguay and Venezuela.

Marquez and Ochoa have not played for Mexico since De la Torre took over the post late last year.

Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez headlines the roster, which includes nine players from European clubs.

Also picked were forward Carlos Vela and midfielder Efrain Juarez, both suspended from the national team for six months following their participation in an unauthorized team party in September following an exhibition against Colombia.

Mexico, which was knocked out of the World Cup last year by Argentina in the second round, plays Paraguay on March 26 at Oakland, Calif., and Venezuela three days later at San Diego. The games are tuneups for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will be played in June in the United States.

The roster:

Midfielders: Israel Castro (Pumas), Andres Guardado (Deportivo La Coruna, Spain), Efrain Juarez (Glasgow Celtic, Scotland), Luis Perez (Monterrey), Antonio Naelson Sinha (Toluca), Gerardo Torrado (Cruz Azul)
