BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is set to launch a 17-day tour to promote his first book that deals with his rise from youthful poverty in Chicago and his friendship with President Barack Obama.
Patrick is set to promote his memoir, “A Reason to Believe,” in New York, Washington and Chicago, and on national television and radio shows like Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”
The tour is scheduled to begin April 11 and runs through April 29.
Patrick announced the tour earlier this month and said he will be making some political stops across the country to help Obama win re-election.
Patrick said Friday that his new federal political action committee _ Together PAC _ is up and running to support “those who are practicing the politics of conviction.”
