James Baker contributing essay to bin Laden book

NEW YORK (AP) - Former U.S. Secretary of State James A. Baker III and former White House aide Karen Hughes are among the contributors to an e-book of essays written after the death of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

Random House announced Thursday that "Beyond Bin Laden" will come out Monday. Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Random House executive editor Jon Meacham is editing the series and will write an introduction.

Numerous book deals have been announced recently, including new works by best-sellers Steve Coll and Peter Bergen.

A book about the Navy SEAL unit that killed bin Laden in Pakistan days ago has jumped into the top 10 on Amazon.com. "SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper" is by Howard E. Wasdin and Stephen Templin. It was completed before bin Laden's death, but interest has soared since then.
