ANAHEIM, CALIF. (AP) - Los Angeles Angels left fielder Vernon Wells has left a game against the Chicago White Sox because of a strained groin.

Wells was injured running out a grounder in the fourth inning Monday night.

He is batting .183 with four home runs and 13 RBIs in 35 games. The three-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner was acquired from Toronto on Jan. 21 with four years and $86 million remaining on a $126 million, seven-year contract he signed with the Blue Jays.
