A man was fatally stabbed near Gallaudet University in the District on Tuesday in a domestic-related attack, police said.

The stabbing was reported around 2:53 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Virginia Avenue in Northeast, the Metropolitan Police Department said. One person was in custody for the stabbing Tuesday night.

The victim was listed as a teenager in a preliminary report from police, but a spokesman was unable to confirm his age Tuesday evening. No further information was available.
