A man accused of impersonating Philadelphia Eagles back-up quarterback Vince Young throughout the D.C. area and beyond has been arrested, Prince George’s County police said Friday.

Stephan Antwain Pittman, 33, of the 2800 block of Lindesfarn Terrace in Fort Washington, was taken into custody without incident at a Temple Hill shopping center, police said.

Mr. Pittman was arrested on a D.C. police warrant charging him with first-degree fraud and was being held in Prince George’s County pending extradition to the District.

A registered sex offender, Mr. Pittman pretended to be Mr. Young in order to solicit fraudulent charitable donations and make sexual advances toward young women in the D.C. area and elsewhere for at least five months, according to Mr. Young’s sports management agency and a series of emails obtained by the Washington Times.

He had been placed on probation for the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman in Texas in 2009, according to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Sex Offender Database.
