COLUMBUS, OHIO (AP) - Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman James Wisniewski has been suspended for the remainder of the preseason and eight regular-season games for a hit to the head of Minnesota forward Cal Clutterbuck.
The NHL announced the suspension on Monday night.
Wisniewski is eligible to return to the Blue Jackets lineup against Detroit on Oct. 25.
