LAS VEGAS (AP) - A New York woman facing felony charges in Las Vegas after being accused of performing illegal eyelift surgeries has apparently fled the country.

The Las Vegas Sun ( http://bit.ly/Iu2ujh) reports that Jing Qu had been expected to appear for arraignment Tuesday morning in Las Vegas Justice Court, but she never showed up.

Her lawyer, James Gallo, says Qu is in China. A no-bail bench warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Qu is from Queens and was free on $110,000 bail. She faces charges of burglary and practicing medicine without a license for performing eye lifts and injections on two women last year in a home in the Las Vegas Valley.

Qu told police she was a physician in China but was not licensed to practice medicine in the U.S.
