D.C. police are investigating a shooting and separate stabbing that happened overnight in Southeast.
A 20-year-old man was shot around 3 a.m. Thursday while walking in the 4600 block of G Street Southeast in Benning Terrace, according to a Metropolitan Police Department spokesman. The man was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital.
Neither a description of the shooter nor an update on the victim’s condition was available Thursday.
In a separate attack around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, a man was stabbed in the back, police said. Officers responded to the 2400 block of Hartford Street Southeast in the Garfield Heights neighborhood and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to a hospital. No information was available on his condition Thursday.
No description was available for his attacker.
