MEMPHIS — A federal grand jury in Tennessee has indicted 15 former FedEx workers, charging them with stealing from U.S. mail.
The theft of mail and obstruction of correspondence charges stem from cash, gift cards and drugs being stolen from U.S. Postal Service mail moving through the Memphis FedEx sorting hub.
The U.S. attorney's office said gift cards from Walmart and Target were filched from letters, cash was stolen from greeting cards and -- in one case -- more than $2,000 in cash was taken from a package.
FedEx spokesman Shea Leordeanu told The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal the company has a zero-tolerance policy on crime and none of the people indicted still works there.
Twitter offering users scrapbook of past tweets
SAN FRANCISCO — Twitter is offering its more than 200 million users a chance to keep a digital scrapbook of all their tweets.
The tool, announced this week, is designed to make it easier for people to review all their activity on Twitter's trend-setting microblogging service.
When it's available, the downloading option will appear at the bottom of each user's settings menu.
Twitter, which is based in San Francisco, said it may take a few weeks before everyone gets the feature.
After a records request is made, users will receive an email on how to download their personal archive. For Twitter's earliest users, the records date back to when Twitter started in 2006.
Twitter users already have been able to peruse their past tweets by navigating to their personal profile page. But going that route is more cumbersome because it requires scrolling down a page that can sometimes be slow to display additional tweets.
Peugeot, GM unveil joint-venture models
PARIS — PSA Peugeot Citroen and GM have unveiled the first vehicles they will develop together as part of a joint venture they hope will reduce costs and re-energize their businesses.
The French and American automakers said Thursday that they plan to share development for three kinds of cars: a small family van, a small multipurpose van and a low-emissions vehicle.
The two companies inked an alliance earlier this year that included GM taking a 7 percent stake in Peugeot.
