It’s bad enough that the U.S. Olympic team is scheduled to wear extremely overpriced uniforms made in communist China. But upon further inspection, the beret our athletes are set to wear has a wimpy Che Guevara look that is not in keeping with American styles, especially for men. Girl Scout berets look better.

Worse, the beret has an emblem that resembles the French flag on the side instead of the Star Spangled Banner or a typically recognized American symbol. What an embarrassment and what a heck of a way to gain American support. What are the U.S. Olympic organizers thinking? This should not be allowed to take place.

Meanwhile, I think Team USA should just walk into the stadium wearing everyday clothes, demonstrating American individualism but still being team players.
