A Manassas man was arrested after accidentally shooting a 22-year-old woman in the ankle in Chantilly Saturday night, police said.

The victim was out with her friends at a restaurant. One of them reloaded his handgun and accidentally fired, shooting the woman, according to Fairfax police.

Christopher E. Bohn, 36, of Manassas, was arrested and charged with willfully discharging firearms in a public place.

He had just left an event for which he had to unload his handgun, Fairfax police said.

No one else was injured and the woman was taken to a local hospital.
