LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Utter hypocrisy of the left

- The Washington Times - Friday, June 1, 2012

Can someone please explain to me the liberal rationale? I cannot understand it for the life of me. The political left says it should not be opposed to the law allowing the killing of a baby in the womb, but it should support a law banning the sale of sugared soda of more than 16 ounces in size because full-calorie, sugared drinks are not good for your health ("NYC proposes ban on sale of oversize sodas," Web, Thursday).

Liberals pass a law that requires every citizen to prove he has health insurance but oppose laws requiring proof of legal citizenship. Bain Capital is excoriated by the left because it helped investors make money, but Solyndra's loss of a half-billion dollars is OK, even though it burned our hard-earned taxpayer money. Huh? Who are the people who think like this, and why are they running for office and ruining our lives?
