Lady Gaga finishes concert after being hit on the head

Pop diva Lady Gaga suffered a concussion when a dancer accidentally hit her on the head with a metal pole during her final New Zealand show, reports said Monday.

She was performing her hit “Judas” at Auckland’s Vector Arena on Sunday night when the accident left her seeing stars, 3News reported.

According to Agence France-Presse, footage of the incident showed her staggering briefly after the pole crashed on the top of her head, then gathering herself and continuing the concert.

“I wanna apologize if I’m rambling tonight, but not sure if you noticed, I hit my head earlier and I think I may have a concussion,” she later told fans, TVNZ reported. “Don’t worry though, I’m gonna finish the show.”

The singer’s make-up artist Tara Savelo took to Twitter after the show to assure fans that the star was in good shape.

“Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay,” Ms. Savelo tweeted. “She wants u to know she loves u. I’m taking care of her. Can’t believe she finished the show.”

Lady Gaga will open the Australian leg of her “Born This Way” tour in Brisbane on Wednesday.

Matthew McConaughey marries longtime girlfriend

Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey married his longtime girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves, on Saturday evening, according to People magazine.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Texas before close friends and family, including their two young kids, with Ms. Alves taking the groom’s last name to become Camila McConaughey, the actor’s representative told the magazine.

Mr. McConaughey, 42, and Ms. Alves, 30, were engaged in December but kept the date of the wedding on his estate secret.

Named the “sexiest man alive” in 2005 by People, Mr. McConaughey starred in “Lincoln Lawyer” (2011), with Penelope Cruz in “Sahara” (2005), in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” (2003) with Kate Hudson, and with Jennifer Lopez in “The Wedding Planner” (2001).

He showed up at Cannes in May to promote his latest films, “Paperboy” and “Mud.”
