Pine tar still a sticky issue one day later

“For me it’s done, yes,” Maddon said. “I had my say, I said what I had to say [Tuesday] night.”

“I’m defending my guys,” Maddon added. “I’ll always defend my guys. Under all circumstances, I will defend my guys. We don’t start stuff, but we’ll finish stuff.”

NOTE: Johnson announced that Chien-Ming Wang was being moved out of the rotation and into the bullpen. Ross Detwiler will resume his role as the fifth starter and will start Sunday in Baltimore.
