HONOLULU (AP) — An 8-year-old Honolulu girl is being credited with helping locate a missing elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's.

KHON-TV reports Honolulu police are calling Tiki Willis CrimeStoppers' youngest hero.

CrimeStoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett says Tiki recognized 83-year-old Helen Romero, who had been missing for four days.

Tiki says she and her mother were getting dinner at Ala Moana Center last week when she saw Romero and remembered seeing a police bulletin about her. Mother and daughter checked Facebook but Tiki's mother Dina wasn't convinced it was the same woman last seen at a health care center.

But Tiki was sure and insisted on calling police.

Romero was safe and returned to her care home.
