LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Veterans, Obama doesn’t have your backs

I would like to remind those who are part of the reported “surge” in veteran support for President Obama of a few facts. This is a president who proposed having the wounded veterans pay for some of their own medical needs (i.e., rehabilitation and treatment for injuries incurred during one of the two wars we were fighting). This is not a man who has your back.

Once Mr. Obama became aware of the public outrage over this matter, his answer was that ours is an all-volunteer military, meaning military members know what they sign up for. Obviously, this is from a man who has little respect for or understanding of honor, duty or country. Apparently he thinks people routinely join the armed forces thinking, “Gee, hope I can find insurance to pay for my medical needs upon discharge.”
