Three teenage thieves upped the severity of an unpleasant Halloween antic – robbing a young boy of not only his candy but his iPhone as well as he went trick-or-treating in Georgetown Wednesday night.
The 12-year-old boy was robbed around 10 p.m. in the 3000 block of N Street Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Three teenage boys approached the 12-year-old and began striking him, making off with both his hard-earned candy and his cell phone. It was unclear whether the boy was by himself when he was attacked.
Police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said the boy was not seriously injured and was not taken to a hospital.
The boy’s attackers were described as three boys between 15 and 16 years of age. One wore a blue and white jacket and another wore a leather jacket and jeans.
