A real estate developer who admitted to a role in the public corruption probe that send a former Prince George’s County executive to prison has been sentenced.
Fifty-three-year-old Patrick Ricker of Bowie was sentenced to a year and a day in prison Friday and ordered to pay restitution of $250,000.
Ricker pleaded guilty in December 2009 to conspiracy to commit honest services fraud and to make false statements to the Federal Election Commission, and to tax evasion.
According to his guilty plea, Ricker and others showered public officials with gifts including cash, travel, rounds of golf and sexual services in exchange for actions favorable to their projects.
Former County Executive Jack B. Johnson pleaded guilty in the corruption scandal and was sentenced to more than seven years in prison.
